Buying a card and want to check it's what the seller says? Look up the certification number on a graded slab, or check a GradeLab certificate. Either way the record — not a screenshot — is what counts.

Why a screenshot proves nothing
An image can be edited — a 9.5 becomes a 10 in seconds. So GradeLab does not rely on the image being trustworthy. Instead:
- The signing key never touches a phone. Certificates are signed server-side, so a modified app cannot mint one.
- Each certificate is bound to its photographs. The signed record includes a cryptographic hash of both the front and back images, so a genuine certificate cannot be reused alongside a different card.
- The disclaimer is inside the signed record. Cropping it out of a shared image does not remove it from what was verified.
